There’s a Triumph within the Destiny 2 database called Wicked Depths that spills the beans here: Complete the Whetstone encounter in Deep Dives and earn the Wicked Implement Scout. Perhaps it’s something for Bungie to consider in the future, though I would also not be surprised if it was already considered and discarded for some kind of reason we don’t know about after testing.īut yeah, don’t bury me with this thing, no offense.įollow me on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. It does seem like a very solid pick for PvP in many situations, and I look forward to playing around more with it there.īut I do lament the lack of anti-barrier functionality for a gun that quite literally is based on bypassing enemy shields. The leaky man, Xûr, is now live in Destiny 2 for the weekend until next weeks reset. While I can’t say it will outperform a max range Erentil or anything (not that it should, not that anything should with the gun in that state), it does hit incredibly hard and can kill at something like 18 meters away and shred even max resilience enemies. Though perhaps I’m arguing against myself here, because if I’m saying that anti-barrier would elevate it to the next level, perhaps that’s a case for intrinsic anti-champion perks being too valuable to give away to all exotics.īastion shines brightest in Crucible, that much already seems clear. I do find myself wondering if it might not have it as a precursor to exotics getting artifact mod slots next season, which is something players have requested since day one. Bring your gunplay to the new level Destiny 2. And for exotics, I think Arbalest is fundamentally a better choice with its massive damage on shield break and ability to hit precision shots.Īnti-barrier would change the dynamic a lot here. Everything you need to know about Bastion in Destiny 2: stats, exotic perk, catalyst, source and usage guide. Yes, it’s more for lower tier enemies, but I feel like it’s not any better than most high impact fusions, and I would rather have a Loaded Question with Boss Spec, which also doesn’t take up an exotic slot. The image above shows how much damage the gun does to an enemy health bar if you shoot a round through its shields. It’s all part of the fact that it is so damn hard to get new people into Destiny because of how split up everything is. This review IS NOT to talk about the quest, rather the reward. I have long been a proponent of the idea that Destiny needs far, far more streamlined content offerings. Today's video is about an exotic that had its quest unlocked early. It’s maddening to finally get a friend to pick up the newest season of Destiny for $10 (well, now $12) and then they cannot play the best content of the season, the dungeon, unless they pay another $20 for two dungeons, one of which is not even out yet. But mainly I am not supportive of continuing to separate out and break apart content into bits and pieces. That is prohibitive, and I think $20 is a bit too high anyway. I am a Destiny “whale,” I have spent loads of money on weapon and armor ornaments over the years and yet…I really cannot say I support this idea of selling these dungeons separately.
